Helping Out in School

As a school we really value parent volunteers and appreciate the time that you take out of your day to ensure the children have as many focused learning opportunities as they can. Any time that you are able to offer us is gratefully received. If you are interested in volunteering in school, we ask that you register your interest by completing a ‘Volunteer Registration’ form, which can be downloaded here or collected from the school office.

At Grove Road we believe that being able to give children first hand experiences is important for the children to learn and interact with their learning. In order for trips to take place, we need to ensure that the adult to children ratio ensures the children’s safety. We therefore rely upon parents being able to accompany the children when out and about on class trips. If there are any parents who are willing to accompany classes, even though their own children are not in that class, we would love to hear from you so that we can create a register of possible helpers, who we can call upon. Please could you register your interest at the school office if you feel you would be able to help us with this.

There are always small projects to do around the school which you might be interested in doing yourself or with a group of friends. If you have noticed a courtyard or flowerbed that needs weeding and planting and would like to tackle it, we would be very grateful! If your child's classroom or cloakroom could do with a lick of paint do please offer.
